We are now under 60 days until the start of the season…you can officially get excited, we sure are.
While spring always takes longer than we’d like on the 60th Parallel, the sun is gathering power, causing the first few drips of meltwater to fall from the lodge roofs. The pike are congregating near shallow bays in preparation for spawning. It’s coming, it happens every year, like you we can’t wait!
A team of six hardworking crew members headed into camp a couple of weeks ago. They got a head start hauling in supplies and endless details that need to be in place to provide a first-class experience. A total of eighteen round trips were made in the DeHaviland Otter outfitted with wheel skis. Our options for transporting approximately 500,000lbs of food, fuel, lumber, lures, and freight each year consist of planes with floats or skis and the occasional helicopter. The extreme remote location of Scott Lake Lodge, with no road or runway access, creates logistical challenges but maintains the sense of true wilderness.
Our winter crew got a good start on the 2026 projects with over 45,000lbs of freight hitting the ice, getting loaded onto sleighs towed by our trusty Ski Doo Tundras. It’s a ton of work, but allows us to hit the ground running on annual spring construction projects that support our goal of constant improvement.
Just some of the projects happening through the island include cabin renovations, storage facilities, new tractors, generators, side by sides, fuel tanks…and more!
2026 Cancellations Available
It’s your lucky day! We’ve had a couple of last minute cancellations open up a very few spots in June, July and August. Sales manager Jon Wimpney, would be happy to turn a loss into your gain! If you missed out on a 2026 trip, reach out to Jon now to make it happen (306-209-7150). You can always come twice!
If you aren’t able to make the 2026 season work, start thinking about 2027. Getting a deposit in now will get you on the list as spots start to open up. As always, we give first right of refusal each week to the guests of that season; they tend not to give up too many spots. Getting locked in on the waiting list now will give you the best shot at landing your preferred week of the season. This isn’t a sales tactic; we only have so many spots, and they do sell out every year.
