Most days at Scott Lake Lodge begin with a quick flight to the flyout destination - today we are headed to Wholdaia Lake
Wholdaia is a long ways from Scott but this huge lake, stretching out over 50 miles from east to west, is well worth it.
New in 2016, it took a full year and a half to fish even half of Wholdaia lake.
Wholdaia is a monster lake, filled with monster fish. Including the fat 51 incher you might remember from our 2018 Annual Report.
The east end of Wholdaia is the outflow of the Dubawnt River and is really a separate flyout. That's how big this lake is - it's basically two different destinations requiring a total of six boats.
There's a zone between two sets of rapids where fishing for all three of our species is extraordinary, but when it comes to Wholdaia, Pike are the real prize.
