Everyone wants to know what the weather is going to be like, especially on their vacation. Since no one can predict it, here is some data and food for thought as you pack and prepare for your Canadian fly in fishing trip.
Temperature
These are historical average temperatures (F) at our float base in Stony Rapids, SK. Stony is approximately 50 miles south of the Lodge and is also the closest weather station.
(Remember, the Lodge is on the 60th parallel, farther north than Juneau, Alaska.)JUNE |

Moon Phases
Not only does weather influence fishing, but so does the current phase of the moon. It is commonly accepted that during the peak of both the new (dark) and full moon phases each month are great times to be on the water.
Also if the Northern Lights are a must-see on your trip to Scott, keep in mind that they are best visible opposite a full moon when the night sky is darkest from mid-July on. Earlier in the season there is not enough darkness at night to provide a proper stage.
