Beyond Fishing
While fishing is the core experience in the Scott Lake Adventure, there are many other activities to enhance your stay or keep a non-angler well entertained.
In fact, many anglers coming to Scott bring non-fishing spouses or friends. Most of those who arrive with a "I just don't like fishing attitude" leave as dedicated anglers. The key to that transformation is a patient,
professional guide who knows how to listen. We have a dozen of those. But for those who really don't want to fish there is a full menu of things to do, like taking out a canoe or kayak; taking a hike on the interpretive "Tundra Trail"; getting a massage at the
Stone Haven Spa; soaking in the hot tub or trying out a traditional Finnish sauna right on the lakeshore. Of course there is always reading on the expansive deck overlooking the lake, just absorbing the
pristine wilderness or interacting with the fourteen staff members who are not out fishing every day. Our chef can offer cooking clinics and our staff includes a yoga instructor. There are lots of options here.
Because there is great fishing a short distance from the lodge, there is always the opportunity for the shore person to get picked up at the lodge in time to join their fishing partner for a festive
shore lunch. Everyone loves the shore lunch of fresh fish. So yes, Scott is the complete package, for everyone.
