I just returned form a trip to Scott Lake and had to wire to tell you about it. It was truly a wonderful experience. As a rookie fisherwoman myself, I could not believe that I was able to catch more trophy pike than I ever imagined possible. My largest was 43.5", but there were plenty of 38" and 39" to go along with it. And the huge trout almost wore me out at Dunvagen! Each one was more fun to catch than the next. And fun is what it really was all about - I had a great time!
I've heard stories of other Canadian fly-ins and the disappointments of not catching quite the amount of fish (or size) that they thought, as well as having to rough it themselves. And as a woman, a little uncertain about going to a lodge with predominantly male guests, my worries were for naught. Your lodge is truly unique in itself. There is no "roughing it", trophy fish are guaranteed to be caught and the peace and solitude are a plus. I felt pampered by your staff everyday. The food was superb, the guides were excellent and accommodations first class. It was very hard to leave this relaxing paradise and return home to the real world.

The food and entertainment levels exceeded anything I could have dreamed up.

I just wanted to thank you all again for a wonderful time. You have established quite a team and you and your people are your greatest assets in my book. The trophy fish help too, but you know what I mean. I look forward to next year and really can't imagine not going every year from now on.

Let me start by saying that my guests' expectations were exceeded by far. Some of them have been to lodges all over North America and they could not believe the quality of the staff, and more importantly, the fishing at Scott Lake. We'll be back!

Just dropping you a line to let you know what a great time my son and I had on our trip to Scott Lake in August. Fishing was unbelievable, the staff and guides were incredibly nice as well as competent. The accommodations were awesome; the fond memories will have to last until next summer when we return to catch the "even bigger" ones that got away! Thanks for the whole experience.

The quality of fishing was better than any dream.

Well as the saying goes, "Words can't describe it." I'm sure after I'm done with my attempt to describe my experience at Scott Lake this year I will have added even more solid footing to this adage. Nevertheless, here goes.
I would first like to congratulate you on your fine staff. As you know, people make all the difference. Moreover, it can be said without any hesitation that I have never met a finer group of people assembled in one place, of such varying backgrounds, age and job descriptions, all having (in my opinion) a molded sense of direction, attitude, spirit and pride. The words "can't do that" simple do not exist on that island. Instead, all I heard was "Let's do it". What a refreshing change from the norm in today's world.
I realize that the fishing is an important part of the "Scott Lake Experience". And of course, I caught more fish in my two trips this year than I had ever caught in my entire life. Nonetheless had I not caught a single fighting northern, majestic grayling, or arm wrenching trout, I would have left Scott Lake with the same fondness that I now have.
Tom, I want to extend to you and Pat my most sincere gratitude and admiration. If it were not for your vision, and I'm sure Pat's as well, my guests and myself would not have had this marvelous experience. I could readily see that you wanted nothing but the finest for your guests and for your people as well. I have no doubt that Scott Lake Lodge already exceeds most people's expectations, and perhaps is already the benchmark by which all camp owners who have any desire to excel, measure themselves.
As you know I am not a youngster, and I have had many wonderful experiences in my life. I will tell you without any reservation whatsoever that my two visits this year (after my marriage to my wife, and the birth of my two sons) have been the most memorable times in my life. I shall always be thinking of the "Scott Lake Family" with a deep fondness, and it is my hope that I will visit you again. Perhaps then I will find the "words to describe it."

When I first came to Scott Lake I knew that I had a good chance to catch trophy fish. I had no idea however that I would catch "Scott Fever". Symptoms include thinking about Scott multiple times on a daily basis, re-reading each Annual Report for the 100th time just in case you may have missed something the other ninety-nine, daydreaming (while sitting in rush hour traffic) about the 45 inch pike that inhaled your jerkbait as you worked it through the cabbage on one of the flyout lakes, and having a special countdown calendar that you mark off each day knowing that your next adventure on the 60th parallel just got a bit closer. My time at Scott has become much more than just a fishing trip. I consider my time with you all a great "life experience". It is something that everyone should be so lucky to enjoy. Thank you again for offering me an experience I can look forward to all year.

Never, ever have I been privilege to such a professionally run outfit where every facet of the operation was nothing short of top notch. Courteous staff, perfect planning, and a most fantastic location all add up to a trip most people can only dream about.

It's hard to imagine that anything could be any better than this - there's simply no room for improvement.

Thank you so much to all at Scott Lake Lodge for a fantastic week. My time with my father and friends was most memorable in countless ways. Our cabin was excellent. The food was awesome. To put it plainly, the fishing rocked. Our guides were truly fantastic. They were skilled and patient; we laughed, they coached; they answered lots of stupid questions and handled weak humor with better laughs; most of all, they helped us all catch a lot of fish and some really big fish at that.
