*In recent years the price for a Scott Lake adventure has climbed dramatically. We want to provide some background on the issue. The only reason our prices have gone up is the declining value of the US dollar. In September the US and Canadian dollar hit parity for the first time since November of 1976. In 2002 our package price of $2,995 actually bought $5,080 in Canadian goods and services. Now our $3,995 4-day trip price is worth only $3,835 in Canada. Also during the past five years fuel prices in Canada went from $1.99 a gallon to $4.20 a gallon. We will do our very best to offer the world class service we are known for and keep the price as reasonable as possible. But something will have to give and it will not be our customer service. We know only one way to run this business-first class. The prices for 2008 will not change, however unless the US dollar finds its footing we will be forced to raise prices for 2009. Despite the currency issues, we remain dedicated to our loyal guests and friends who have made Scott Lake Lodge the finest fishing lodge in Canada. This past 2007 season we sold out completely for the first time and those "regulars" have already booked 80% of the available spots for 2008. Don't miss your opportunity for the trip of a lifetime; join us to experience the magic of our fishing paradise on the 60th parallel.
